I once played against a
good three-card trick man for over an hour. I knew exactly what he was doing and how he was doing it and
he still beat me three times out of five. That was how the Oberholzer game worked. Only we had been winning five tricks out of five, until I lost one that made it necessary
to change
not only the name of the game but also some
of the rules.
