The peculiar conservative nature of Arabic, which makes it liable to change, gives it a special claim to become the throne of the last word of God. There is another peculiarity of this language, the suggestive and meaningful nature of its words. Arabic words to a Sufi strike themselves as eloquent. They do convey what, in other languages, need pages to explain.
