A couple of weeks ago, a twisted wreckage email arrived from someone telling
me in the harshest, crudest terms imaginable that families formed in the “normal” way, i.e., via natural birth and consanguinity, and those belonging to them,
were vastly superior to those of us who have formed families through adoption. It’s difficult to imagine what could cause anyone to send such a letter, let
alone form and fashion such a stupid, incorrect and ugly thought into words they
actually chose to publish.
Years ago, sitting on a westward cross-country plane flight next to
the actor known as Mr. T, throughout the journey passengers approached him either saying in
his voice and delivery or asking him to recite his famous line, “I pity the fool.” Indeed.
Exactly. Amen.
