Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, Zip-A-Dee-A
My oh my, what a Wonderful Day
Plenty of Sunshine, Headed my way
Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah,
Zip-A-Dee-A

Mister Bluebird on my shoulder!
It's the Truth,
It's Actual,
Everything is . . .  Satisfactual

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, Zip-A-Dee-A
Wonderful feeling
Wonderful Day

Yes Sir

  3. Ah, most classic of classics!

This drags us back through time...

I spent weeks at a time sawing away at my ivory-cutaway Fender Mustang, one foot on the reverb pedal, trying to learn that brilliant scratchy guitar line.

Small wonder nothing good ever came of me.

All I want to do now is creep into mom's computer, stow away and never come back.

Till then, however, to hold the fort:

  4. Hi. So, so wonderful. I'll try to post a link later where Billy Strange explains how he got the sound and the recording history of this. . . . wonderful, wonderful song and record. Do you still have the Fender Mustang? Heading out again with Daughter to the Costume Store for Round Two of pre-Halloween Preparations. Caroline and I lost Round One decisively. Thanks for The Crystals/Da Doo Ron Ron link. Curtis

  5. Curtis, that Fender Mustang is probably in a glass case somewhere, on sale as a vintage period piece.

Any chance the blizzard might help you to dodge (or would the word be white-out) the Halloween bullet?

  6. Our puny blizzard knocked out power and is continuing to wreak havoc quietly, persistently and forcefully. Actually, I think we've been selectively de-energized by PECO, our utility company. Back soon. Curtis
