Churl is great and, although it's usually said dismissively and with palpable disgust, we need somewhere for those emotions to go and words to accompany our feelings. I was both gratified and a little astonished to find that any rock band called themselves The Churls, but youtube shows that they still have a fan contingent up north. Where in the Dickens is, of course, great. Our family's all down with something flu-like, but we're still heading north today to visit (briefly) an old friend's party. I think I'll duck work until Monday. I really haven't the head for it.
